Can you plan my implants before I travel?
With full documentation, both doctors can explain a records-based diagnosis and proposed treatment plan in a scheduled video consultation. The in-person examination confirms the findings before treatment. Guide preparation and surgery depend on suitable records and clinical checks; an enquiry does not reserve a surgical date.
Should I arrange a new CBCT scan now?
Start by telling us what records you already have and when they were taken. The team will explain how to share them and whether they are suitable. New imaging should be requested only when a clinician considers it appropriate.
Does a guide make implant surgery risk-free?
No. Planning quality, scan accuracy, guide fit and surgical access affect the procedure. Infection, bleeding, failure to integrate and injury to nearby structures remain possible. The surgeon may change the approach or defer placement if clinical findings require it.
Does guided surgery mean no incision or stitches?
No. A guide can be used with different surgical approaches. Access to bone or additional grafting may require an incision and stitches. Ask about the approach proposed for your site and its recovery needs.
Can I have implants if I have been told I lack bone?
An assessment is needed. A guide helps with placement planning but does not replace missing bone. Some patients need bone or soft tissue reconstruction, a staged plan or a different tooth-replacement option. Complex reconstruction is a core focus of OsteoPerio.
Will the whole treatment fit into one trip?
That cannot be assumed. Grafting, implant placement and final teeth may be separate stages. Discuss the expected visits, the initial healing stay and who provides each restoration before booking travel. Healing or new findings may change the schedule.
Can my dentist at home make the crown?
This can be discussed as part of the plan. Agree the restorative clinician, implant-system information, records, timing and responsibilities before treatment. Surgery, restoration and follow-up need to be coordinated rather than assumed to be interchangeable.
What should the estimate include?
